About Our Headquarters

Located in Historic Old Hyde Park in Tampa, the building was formerly an historic icehouse. It was used by Tampa icon Henry B. Plant as a source of storage and distribution of harvested ice from the New England area, particularly the Charles River. This ice was first provided to the guests at his hotel, the Tampa Hotel which is now the University of Tampa. The ice was considered a luxury, but was then soon adopted by many locals for every occasion. The location of this building was conveniently placed adjacent to his rail line which ultimately was a main factor in the development of the City of Tampa.

RGA’s new home office opened its doors in March of 2003. RGA acted as both architect and construction manager of the renovation project retrofitting the ground floor of the historic structure into office suites and a conference room. The firm then added a second floor to the building. The second floor contains an office landscape plan with modular furniture and a combination of natural and artificial lighting. The project was completed successfully, on time and on budget and provides a functional work setting for the employees of the three firms it houses.
