The Comprehensive Cardiovascular Institute and the Future of Affordable Healthcare

In this industry it's easy to get caught up in the everyday grind of the job. Morning staff meetings, checking emails, job site visits, and trade conferences can all sort of blend together over the years. But every so often you come across someone with a project that has a passion for their cause. It's infectious and energizes everyone involved. Dr. Hamdan is one of those people. He came to us wanting to convert an old bank into a surgery center in South Tampa. Anyone who has struggled with access to affordable healthcare knows how frustrating the process can be. Dr. Hamdan is trying to change that. It's been an honor for us here at RGA-Design to help make his vision a reality. Below is an excerpt from a Facebook post about his center:

Hi Everyone, Talal Hamdan, MD, FACC, Interventional cardiologist, Vascular and Endovascular Specialist. As you know we're moving into a new era with medicine. Medicine has become difficult to afford for our patients. As physicians it has become a challenge to deliver care to our patients.  Medical Insurance is at an all time high despite changes to make it more affordable. Physician reimbursements are at an all time low.  More physicians are becoming employed and working for hospitals. Access to care has become difficult and costly.    As a physician it is my duty to find a solution. To work with what we have and make it work for the people.  To drive the cost of medicine down without compromising the quality and access of care to the people.   I am working on opening the 1st ASC/OBL (Ambulatory surgery center/office based lab) in the heart of Tampa Florida.  My goal for 2019 is to bring to South Tampa: Comprehensive Cardiovascular Institute (CCVI). It will be located on the corner of Macdill and Columbus. My hope is physicians, hospitals and insurers join together with me in this venture. CCVI will be able to deliver safer, more personal, affordable and quality care to our patients.
